The
church was built on the present site between 1849-52
to a classic Victorian design for a social unit
including a Vicarage, School and School Master's
House by architect Benjamin Ferrer. At the
time of the arrival of the present team vicar in
1991 the church had a depressed and neglected look.
However with the help of a small band of loyal supporters
he has managed to make some considerable improvements.
The
April 1995 boundary changes brought about the formation
of Colnbrook with Poyle Parish Council. The
Parish Council was given responsibility for the
upkeep and maintenance of the Church grounds.
It has supported the Church and vicar in much of
the recent improvement works, including adding some
interior features to make the Church a more flexible
venue for social events. The building is another
of Colnbrook's treasures. Pay a visit and

and the re-guilded reredos and chancel screen. |
